We provide individualised assessment
Your physiotherapy experience begins with a comprehensive assessment of your child's background, strengths, passion and areas of limitation. We look at the interplay of all the body systems on your child's performance and how this could be impacting on their performance and quality of life.
Our team is trained in neurological assessments including the General Movements Assessment and the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination which assess for children with suspicion of neurological injury. We are also trained in the use and implementation of the Neuro Sensory-Motor Developmental Assessment to identify neurological concerns and identify means of treatment implementation.
We also have undergone extensive training in the developmental care of premature infants and those of high risk of developing neurological injuries. We are FINE (Family and Infant Neuro-developmental Education) and LAPI (Lacey Assessment of Preterm Infants) trained to ensure the appropriate identification of concerns in the newborn period of a baby born prematurely and ensure the appropriate support for their optimal growth and development.
